ICTV - Westlink Service
On November 13 2009, ICTV recommenced broadcasting to remote communities around Australia, after an absence of 14 months. The return of the service was due to a decision by the Western Australian government to give ICTV part-time (weekend) access to the Westlink satellite service from 6pm Friday to 6am Monday each weekend.
Given it was almost 2 years since ICTV last broadcast, a new playout system was purchased with assistance for the Department of Environment, Water Heritage and the Arts.
ICTV uses a Playbox television broadcast system, which is housed in Dumas House, Perth.
